Oranmore Area Plan 2006 - 2012Successful introduction of the Oranmore Area Plan 2006 – 2012, which is recognised as being one of the most integrated and balanced development plans in the county. The plan contains the provision for extensive community and recreation facilities and has the lowest development densities of all satellite towns in County Galway. Included in the plan are many meaningful policies and objectives that will allow the smooth transition of Oranmore from a village to a new town. PlaygroundThe development of the Playground (behind the Astro-turf pitch) was a costly project and the Planning and Environmental group sourced a large portion of the funding for its completion.
